The REVO has a refined outline curve and a higher rocker than the Evo allowing it to perform more radical turns in the pocket of the wave. The deep central spine of the vee provides plenty of directional control. The design can still be ridden as a thruster, though it is recommended to use a smaller rear fin or a 2+1 setup. Some people call the Revo and performance Evo and that pretty much sums it up, all the good points of the Evo with added performance in bigger punchier waves where the Evo loses its edge.
